Notorious Bandit Kingpin Abu Radde, several other bandits Surrender in Katsina, Release 10 Kidnapped Victims in Peace Accord

A notorious bandit kingpin, Abu Radde, along with his fighters, has surrendered to security forces in Katsina State, releasing ten kidnapped victims as part of a peace accord facilitated by security agencies and local authorities.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that bandits, identified as Abu Radde, Audu Lankai, Ori, Gila, Adamu Gurbi, Nawagini, Umar Black, Margyal, and Aloda, along with their foot soldiers, approached security officials seeking dialogue and reconciliation through non-kinetic means.
According to the sources, a meeting was convened at Kwari Village Primary School in Jibia Local Government Area, where stakeholders engaged in discussions with the armed group, after which they agreed to lay down their arms to accept peace.
During the meeting, the bandits handed over two AK-47 rifles to the military as a demonstration of their commitment to peace. They also unconditionally released ten abducted persons, who were immediately taken to a general hospital for medical evaluation.
The repentant bandits pledged to release more victims and vowed to halt attacks on communities within the local government area.
Authorities have assured residents that security monitoring and intelligence gathering will continue to ensure the stability of the region.

Bandits attack vigilante camp in Zamfara, kill one, injure seven

Armed bandits have launched a deadly night attack on a vigilante camp in Adabka Village, Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing one member of the Community Protection Guard (CPG) and injuring seven others.
Zagazola Makama gathered that the attack occurred at about 10:07 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, when a large number of armed men stormed the camp and opened fire on members of the local security group.
Local sources said the assailants caught the camp off guard, leading to a brief but intense exchange of gunfire. One member of the CPG was reportedly shot dead on the spot, while seven others sustained serious injuries.
The injured were rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment, while the body of the deceased was evacuated for burial after an autopsy was conducted.
In the aftermath of the incident, security forced and community guards vigilante group launched joint patrols across the area to deter further attacks and reassure residents.

Cattle rustling triggers deadly violence in Kaduna, three feared dead

A deadly clash has erupted in parts of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State following a major cattle rustling incident that left at least three people feared dead and several others injured.
Zagazola Makama learnt that the incident began in the early hours of Saturday, June 21, when suspected rustlers stormed Gwaraje village in Igabi Local Government Area and stole about 200 cattle. The armed group reportedly moved the animals through neighbouring Kadanya and Anguwan Mairijya villages.
While escaping with the stolen livestock, the attackers allegedly shot and fatally wounded a 35-year-old woman, identified as Rahila Danzaria of Kadanya village.
Tensions escalated further when youths from Anguwan Mairijya, apparently reacting to the situation or acting on suspicion, intercepted two men Musa Husaini, and Muntari Tajo, from Gwaraje village, who were said to be trailing the rustlers. The two were severely beaten and left unconscious.
Community sources revealed that attempts to mediate or obtain information from residents in the affected villages proved difficult, as most locals were unwilling to speak out.
The police sources said it has since invited the village heads of Anguwan Mairijya and Kadanya — Sarkin Anguwan Samaila Gado and Sarkin Kadanya Obi Mairuwa — for questioning. They are currently in custody to aid investigation.
Preliminary interrogation led to the identification of one Samaila Danzaria of Anguwan Mairijya as a suspected key perpetrator. He is currently at large.
Efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects, recover the rustled cattle, and locate the bodies of any victims who may have died from the attacks.

Seven abducted as gunmen invade Fulani camp in Kwara

Atleast seven persons following an attack by armed men on a Fulani settlement at Kango Camp, located via Oke-Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
Zagazola Makama gathered that the incident, which occurred on the night of June 20 at about 8:30 p.m. The assailants stormed the camp, fired several gunshots into the air, and forcefully abducted the following individuals: Hajiya Malka Suleiman, Bello Shuaibu, Zainab Yusuf, Ali Baruwa, Adama Yahaya, Iliyasu Yusuf, and Halilu Yahaya.
Security forces in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters, visited the scene of the incident where two empty shells of 7.92mm ammunition were recovered.
They are making efforts to rescue the victims.
