Seven residents of Adanla Ifelodun council area of Kwara State have been abducted by bandits.
The abduction took place without resistance from security agencies on boxing day 26 December 2025 at about 7:30 PM, at Adanla, Igbaja ward 2, Ifelodun council area of Kwara State
“The Bandits were said to have fired sporadically in the air injuring several people in the process and abducting seven of our family members who are now in the den of heartless criminals.
“A young girl was seriously wounded. We are shattered, hearts are broken, and tears won’t stop flowing. Our peaceful community is in deep sorrow, grief and agony.
“Bandits invaded our homes at this festive season forcibly kidnapping seven people and injuring several others.
” We pray for strength, protection, and the safe return of our loved ones even as we beseech God for intervention.
“We seek the intervention of His Excellency, the Executive Governor and Chief Security officer of our dear state , Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. We seek help of all relevant agencies, organizations and individual. An injury to one is an injury to all.” Said a source close to the victims.

The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai have successful execution of an air interdiction mission targeting a террорист stronghold in the Tumbuns general area of Borno State.
Sources disclosed that the operation was carried out in the early hours of May 1 at about 5:35 a.m. by coordinated air assets with additional support from military drones platforms for battle damage assessment.
According to the source, the mission followed credible intelligence indicating significant terrorist activity around the Metele and Dogon Chukwu axis, including the presence of fortified structures and extensive trench systems.
The sources further revealed that confirmatory intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) conducted a day earlier identified an island location with prominent structures believed to serve as storage facilities, as well as multiple defensive trenches.
“During the mission, over 20 insurgents were observed within the targeted structures. All identified targets were subsequently engaged in successive passes using precision-guided munitions,” the sources said.
He noted that the strikes resulted in the neutralisation of several terrorists elements and the destruction of their logistics bases and operational infrastructure.

Troops Investigate Indiscriminate Shooting Incident in Borno Community

An incident of indiscriminate shooting by members of a hybrid security force has left one personnel and a civilian injured in Mandaragirau village in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 12:20 p.m. on April 30 when members of the hybrid forces deployed under the 162 Amphibious Battalion allegedly discharged their weapons indiscriminately within the community.
The sources disclosed that the shooting resulted in injuries to one member of the hybrid force and a civilian who were both evacuated to a medical facility for treatment.
According to the sources, the situation was promptly brought under control, while the erring personnel involved in the incident was arrested and taken into custody for further investigation.
They added that preliminary inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and ensure appropriate disciplinary action.
Security authorities assured residents of the area that measures are being taken to prevent a recurrence and maintain order within the community.

Female Terrorist Family Member Surrenders to Troops in Borno

A female family member of suspected ISWAP terrorists has surrendered to troops of the Nigerian Army in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources said the surrender took place at about 5:04 p.m. on April 30 when the individual approached troops of 24 Task Force Brigade deployed in the area.
The sources disclosed that the woman was received by the troops and subsequently profiled and documented in line with standard procedures.
According to the sources, the development is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to encourage defections and dismantle terrorist networks in the North-East.
They added that further necessary actions would be taken following the profiling process.
The sources noted that military operations and engagements aimed at restoring peace in the region are ongoing.
