Security sources disclosed that the troops, deployed for counter-terrorism operations, acted on credible intelligence indicating the movement of terrorists towards Kwanar Jollof in Jangeru Village, Shinkafi area.

The sources said the troops tactically positioned themselves along the route and laid an ambush for the terrorists.
