Bandits attack Bayan Dutsi village in Zamfara, injure three, abduct several

Suspected bandits attacked Bayan Dutsi village in Tofa district of Bungudu Local Government Area, leaving three persons injured and many others feared abducted.
Zagazola gathered that the incident occurred at about 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 22. When the hoodlums invaded the community with sporadic gunfire, injuring three residents and abducting several others.
“On receipt of the distress report, joint troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA and Civilian Protection Guards (CPG) mobilised to the area. The injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment,” said sources.
The sources added that security forces had intensified efforts to rescue the abducted victims and restore normalcy in the affected area.

Bandits abduct five worshippers, injure one in Zamfara

Armed bandits have abducted five worshippers and injured one person during an early morning attack on Maradawa village in Rijiya District, Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Zagazola learnt that the attack occurred at about 5:45 a.m. on Thursday while residents were observing the Subhi (dawn) prayers.
The hoodlums reportedly opened fire on the worshippers, wounding one person before abducting five others to an unknown destination.
Troops later visited the scene, and the injured victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The troops have been deployed to the area and is currently on the trail of the attackers to rescue the victims and restore normalcy.

Bandits abduct 11 children from farm in Bungudu, Zamfara

Armed bandits have abducted 11 children while working on a family farm in Ruwan Kaiwa village, Kekun Waje District of Bungudu Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
Zagazola gathered that the attack occurred at about 11 a.m. on Thursday when the hoodlums, armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the farm belonging to one Nasiru Oli and whisked away his 11 children to an unknown destination.
Security forces have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, while efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims safely.

Herdsman loses two cows to suspected hoodlums in Adamawa

Suspected hoodlums have killed two cows belonging to a herdsman in Shelleng Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m., took place in the Wuroyanka District of Shelleng.
A source in the area told Zagazola that the attackers, believed to be from Bare in Numan Local Government Area, ambushed the herder, Shehu Alhaji Yakubu, while he was grazing his cattle in the bush.
The assailants reportedly killed two of the animals before fleeing the scene.
Police and local hunters later visited the area to assess the situation and appealed for calm among residents to avoid reprisals.
A stakeholders’ meeting has been scheduled to discuss measures to prevent further tension between herders and farmers in the area.
