KACRAN commends Buhari, Buni on Livestock Projects in Yobe

Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and Yobe state Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni for awarding a multi billions naira Livestock Development Projects in Jakusko Nasari Grazing reserves in Yobe state.
The commendation was contained in a Press Release issue and signed by the National President, Hon. Khalil Mohammed Bello.
“As a partner in progress to federal and Yobe state governments towards the development of the livestock sector across the country we wish to commend them for the said unforgettable gesture.
“We view it as a positive move in a right direction, more especially at this time when Herders all over the country are experience untold hardship due to the negative impact of global warming, shortage of animals feed and water points, which are cause herders to move from one place to another in search of animals feed and water points.” The statement reads

He said, KACRAN is on the strong view that the governors of the northern states are doing something positive in their respective states to end wantom clashes between Herders and Farmers.
“The execution of the below livestock development projects which includes milking collection center, milking parlor, veterinary clinic, dispensary, primary school, aqualture, feed milk, warehouse, earth dams, access road, security post, admin block, mosque, 40 housing units etc. are commendable.
“We want to use this golden opportunity to thank His Excellency the Deputy governor of Yobe state, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune), Dr Mairo Amshi the Hon commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resource, permanent secretary, Alhaji Musa Usman and the entire members of the implementation committee appointed by H.E Hon. Mai Mala Buni for their giant stride towards proper supervision of the projects.” The statement added.
The release further said on behalf of the entire members of KACRAN Yobe state Herders and other pastoralists that are massively coming into the state to exploit its accommodative tendencies and special vegetation as well as peaceful nature. Adding that the project will benefit all.
“We wish to immensely thank the Managing Director of Gaidam Motors Ventures limited, Alhaji Saminu Gaidam who was the first person to start and successfully finish his contract of building a milking collection center and milking parlor, which he did with honesty and utmost sincerity.” The statement said
Hon. Khalil Bello further calls on the other contractors to emulate the Managing Director of Gaidam Motors Ventures Ltd in the execution of their projects so that they will be commended by us the actual beneficiaries of the said extraordinary livestock development projects worthy for mentioning and commendation.

Communal clash over Marriage proposal, leaves several injured in Shani LGA, Borno

A marriage proposal gone awry resulted in a communal clash in Shani local government area of Borno state, leaving several injured and prompting a heavy police intervention.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident, which occurred on june 11, 2025, was triggered when a young man, Mamaru from Kubo, accompanied by his friends, visited bargu community to propose marriage to Babaliya Hassan, 17, a resident of the area.
According to sources Babaliya laid a mat in front of her father’s compound to enable the couple’s families to celebrate their Union. however, some youths from Bargu opposed the marriage, insisting that outsiders should not take their women. this opposition escalated into a physical confrontation, forcing Babaliya to rush back into her compound while Mamaru and his friends retrieved their mats.
The situation appeared to calm down, but when the owners came back for their mats, Babaliya, in a show of resentment, allegedly used a pestle to attack Muhammad Isa, causing him grievous injuries, while another person, Shuaibu Ali, sustained minor injuries in the process.
The following day, which fell on bargu’s market day, the incident further spiralled into a communal conflict when youths from Kubo, upon learning about their friends’ injuries, came to Bargu on motorcycles in a suspected retaliatory attack. the conflict resulted in extensive chaos, during which a man, Friday Lado, who was riding toward the scene on his red boxer motorcycle, was attacked by Bargu youths, and his bike was set ablaze. in a show of resistance, the Bargu youths impounded six additional motorcycles belonging to the kubo youths. the conflict also injured a woman, Rukayya Buba, who was caught in the fracas.
It was further gathered that the Borno state police command, through its crack squad tactical team responded promptly, restored normalcy, and evacuated the injured victims to Shani General Hopsital for treatment. following their recovery, the injured were discharged, while the impounded motorcycles were handed over to the Shani division for safekeeping.

Boko Haram terrorists attack herder, rustle 28 livestock in Borno

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have attacked a herder and rustled livestock in Burum Village bush area of Damboa Local Government Area of Borno state, police authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
Zagazola Makama was reliably informed by sources that the incident occurred on June 9 at about 6:00 p.m. when the assailants, armed with machetes, attacked 20-year-old Riskuwa Ibrahim while he was grazing his herd.
The father of the victim, Ibrahim Buba, reported the incident stating that his son sustained grievous injuries to the head, hand, and back during the attack.
The terrorists reportedly made away with twenty-eight (28) sheep to an unknown destination.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was recovering.

Father kills 17-year-old son in Yobe over unknown dispute

A 17-year-old boy, Abdulra’uf Abdullahi, was allegedly stabbed to death by his father during a domestic dispute in Chirokusko Village, Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Zagazola Makama gathered from sources that the tragic incident occurred at about 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, when the father, identified as Danga Shiru Wanzam, reportedly attacked the teenager with a knife, stabbing him in the chest over an issue that has yet to be determined.
Police operatives who visited the scene rushed the victim to the General Hospital in Babbangida, where a medical officer on duty certified him dead on arrival
Community members have expressed shock over the incident, describing the deceased as a quiet and respectful youth.
Police sat efforts are ongoing to locate the suspect, who fled the area shortly after the incident.
