Security Guard, Two Others Arrested for Stealing Sewing Machines from Maiduguri Skills Center

The Borno State Police Command has arrested three suspects, including a security guard, for allegedly stealing 19 sewing machine heads from the Dala Lawanti Skills Acquisition Center in Maiduguri.
Police sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident that the security guard, Kaka Modu Mustapha, 34, conspired with two teenagers, Bukar Mustapha, 16, and Ibrahim Mohammed, 17, to steal the machines on March 22.
So far, six of the stolen sewing machine heads have been recovered, while efforts are ongoing to retrieve the remaining items. The suspects are in police custody and will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.
The Dala Lawanti Skills Acquisition Center is a community project aimed at empowering youth and women through vocational training.

Troops arrest two suspected drug peddlers in Barkin Ladi, Plateau

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested two suspected drug peddlers at Maijankai village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the suspects, Nandon Calap, 24, and Alex Awusis, 26, were apprehended at about 7:00 a.m. on March 25 by troops of Sector 4, Sub-Sector 41.
Items recovered from the suspects included an illicit substance identified as methamphetamine (ice), a smoke pipe, a small bottle of smoking booker, some wrappers of the drug, an Opay ATM card, six mobile phones, and a total sum of ₦2,750.
The suspects were profiled and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Barkin Ladi, for further investigation and action.

Body of missing man recovered in kopgai, Mangu LGA, Plateau

The body of a man reported missing in Kopgai village, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, has been recovered by security operatives.
According to security sources, the corpse of Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed was found buried in a shallow grave along the Gimti River line, between Kopgai and Langai districts, at about 11:00 a.m. on March 25.
The body was exhumed and handed over to the family for proper burial according to Islamic rites, while investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have intensified efforts to safeguard communities and address criminal activities across the state.

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested three suspected terrorists’ informants in Agingi area of Bassa Local Government Area in Plateau State.
Security sources said the suspects, Yusuf Hussaini, 18; Saleh Mohammed, 18; and Muazu Yunusa, 19, were apprehended at about 10:30 p.m. on March 25 with three dagger knives in their possession.
The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing investigation, the sources added.
The arrests form part of ongoing intelligence led operations by the troops of Operation Enduring Peace to safeguard communities, curb criminal activities, and ensure the safety of residents across the state.
