A total of 17 kidnapped victims have been rescued in Kaduna following a coordinated non-kinetic operation by security forces under the guidance of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the victims, who were abducted on March 3, 2025, from Sarkin Fawa in Niger State, regained their freedom on April 9 at about 4:30 p.m. after sustained pressure and intelligence efforts compelled the kidnappers to release them.

Those rescued include minors and adults, among them William Ubadia, Samuel Ezekiel, Duza Ezekiel (13), Ishaku Ishaya (12), Sunday Ezekiel (8), Jessy Friday (6), Charity Ezekiel (9), and Favour Ezekiel, aged one. Adult victims include Rebecca Ezekiel (32), Jummai Ishaya (32), Alice Ezekiel (35), Victoria Ishaya (32), and others.

The victims were taken to a medical facility in Kaduna for check-up and were confirmed to be in stable condition.

Authorities say they will be reunited with their families.
