“Already the flag-off is for polio, but we integrate it with the Covid-19 because polio remain small only, most of the people are receiving the polio we have less problem on polio, the only problem we have on Covid-19 vaccination that is why we integrate it during our flag-off.” Gimba said.
According to Gimba, the religious leaders and community leaders during the flag-off they accepted said, they will go and commit themselves for the mobilization across all the LGA.
“Because most of the people there are thinking that maybe the Corona virus is somehow different, but we highlight them, we sensitize them that nothing will happen to them, let them receive the vaccination to reach the coverage that we were in now.
Potiskum local government appreciates the commitment of the LGA team in all the activities across the LGA. That is why we held a meeting after the flag-off to see that all health activities across our facility generated a positive result in terms of data generation and validation.
Gimba therefore, solicited from the state to support the LGA in term either equipment or funding to see that we mobilized well to reach our own coverage and we also appreciate that the emirate councils committed themselves for the mobilization of the Covid-19 and polio at large.
