20 year old rescued from the hands of bandits in zamfara

A 20 year old man kidnapped on the 7th of February has been rescued and reunited with his family in zamfara state. 

The rescue happened on 10th of  February 2023, when Police Tactical Operatives on confidence building/rescue mission operation  along Tsafe – Kucheri – Yankara road successfully  rescued Abdulrahman Abubakar, a native of Gwandu Emirate in Kebbi State from the hands of bandits who have been tormenting and kidnapping people in the hinterland of the state.

The rescue of the resident is part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to stem the tide of kidnapping and other related crimes committed in Zamfara State.  

In the course of debriefing the former abducted he informed  the Police that he was abducted on Monday 7th February, 2023 in Gwandu by unidentified people on Motorcycle, where he was taken to the forest and spent three (3) days in captivity. 

Police spokesman Mohammed Shehu said that “The victim was rushed to the Police clinic for  medical check and thereafter  re-United with his family/Relations.

” The Commissioner of Police CP Kolo Yusuf congratulates  the rescued victim for regaining his freedom, and assures for Police continuous commitment to rescue other victims in captivity. The CP further reassures the protection of  lives and property of the citizens.” he noted in a release.
