2021 AFCON: Super Eagles back to Abuja
Players and officials of Super Eagles of Nigeria were expected back in the country last night after their ouster from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nation in Cameroon.
Nigeria lost 1-0 to Tunisia in their round of 16 clash in Garoua on Sunday evening to end their AFCON campaign.
The team left Garoua airport aboard a chartered Air Peace airline for an hour flight to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Abuja as the players and officials departed to their different destinations.

Nigeria was the only team with 100 percent record in the group stages, having won all their three matches against Egypt (1-0), Sudan (3-1), Guinea Bissau (2-0) respectively.
But Tunisia, who lost twice in the group stage and only went through as one of the best third-place teams, eliminated Nigeria in the first game of the knockout stage to reach the quarter finals.
