2023: Again, PDP loses 250 top memberships, supporters in Yobe

Over 250 Executives Members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and hundreds of there supporters from 11 wards in Fune local government area of Yobe state has dump the party and join All Progressive Congress (APC)

Receiving the decampees in Damagum, His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni Chiroman Gujba has assured the decampees that they will be treated equally like the members of the APC in the state.

The governor represented  by his deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana Wazirin Fune said the government of APC in the state will continue to provide the dividend of democracy to the people of the state at the grassroots.

Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana commanded governor Mai Mala Buni for executing the developmental projects in the state which Fune local government area is number one among the beneficiaries and thank the governor for the gesture.

Speaking APC State Chairman, Alhaji Muhammed Gadaka said PDP would suffer defeat in Yobe state and Nigeria in general in the 2023 general elections where the ruling party will win all the seats in the state and the presidential position at the top.

According to Muhammed Gadaka in recent times PDP has recorded monumental loss in Yobe state with a mass exodus of founding leaders in the state which now join the Buni’s administration in the task of building the state.

Also speaking, a member representing Jajere constituency in the Yobe state House of Assembly, Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio said today we are proud in Fune local government that all our leaders and our stakeholders are in one party.

“In the history of Fune local government, we never got the son of Fune to be a deputy governor, but today we have a son of Fune  deputy governor for four years and by Grace of God he will be another for four years.” Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio said.

He added that, over 250 PDP executives members in Fune local government who defected along with hundreds of their supporters to the APC with a view to benefit from the dividend of democracy in the state.

In his welcome address, the Chairman Caretaker Management Committee of Fune local government area, Alhaji Baba Goni Mustapha Bade commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for executing a developmental projects in Fune local government.

He assured the governor Mai Mala Buni and the state party chairman, Alhaji Muhammed Gadaka for a massive votes from Fune local government area during the 2023 general elections.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the decampees, Malam Illiyasu Adamu Jilmu said we suffer in PDP for over 20 years and now we decided that before the 2023 elections let us dump this PDP and join APC.

Malam Illiyasu Adamu further said we were convinced with the good work of the Apc in the state under the able leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni and assured that we would work tirelessly to see that APC succeed in all the elections in the state and Nigeria in general.
