2023: Governor Buni deserves second term in Yobe – Alhaji Mato

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state deserved and qualify for the second time as the governor of Yobe state because of his numerous achievements in developing the state within his first tenure.

The Executive Chairmen United Marketers Association of Potiskum chapter (UMAPO), Alhaji Nasiru Mato disclosed this to newsmen in his office.

He said first tenure of Governor Mai Mala Buni is very impressive, adding that they are very happy with the way he is handling things in Potiskum and the Yobe state in general.

“There is some physical work Mai Mala Buni did, we have 178 political wards in the state and in each ward he has done something physically and if you go there you will see it with your eyes.

“Yobe state is a place where the majority of the people are marketers especially Potiskum which is largest commercial town in the west Africa, there is no local government in the country that have trailers like Potiskum.” Mato said.

Alhaji Nasiru Mato who is also the Chairman Yobe state United Marketers Association said, Governor Mai Mala Buni has fulfilled all his campaign promises to the electorates in the state, adding that on assumption of office on 29th May 2019, he declared a state of emergency on education which is yeilding a positive results.

He said, the Buni administration rehabilitated existing schools and established six modern and seven Mega schools to congest schools and also procured books and laboratory equipment, employed more teachers, trained and re-trained more teachers to enhance manpower to improve quality of education in the state.

According to him, Mai Mala Buni administration initiated and constructed four modern markets, Damaturu, Gashua, Potiskum and Nguru as well as a Trailer Park in Potiskum all these with a view to create conducive environment for trade and commerce for economic development.

“If the trailer park is completed it will employed about 5,000 people and also he resuscitated three dormat industries, Yobe Flour and Feeds Mills Potiskum, Woven Sack company Damaturu and Sahel Aluminum company Potiskum.”

He therefore, he use this forum to call on all the electorates in the state to come out en-mass to vote for Mai Mala Buni and all APC candidates including our presidential candidate during the 2023 general elections.
