2023: PDP guber candidate debunks rumour of withdrawal from race in Yobe

Yobe State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governor Candidate, Hon. Shariff Abdullahi has debunked the remours circulating that he has withdrawn from the governorship race.

Hon. Shariff Abdullahi stated this in a Press Release issue and signed by him and made available to Newsmen in Damaturu.

He described the remours as baseless and untrue. Added ng that it was created and spread by unpatriotic and thoughtless people

“People’s Democratic Party is an organized and strongl party with formidable structure. If you ask those who created and spread this remours where and when the candidate put his withdrawal letter or will, I think there will be another primaries to be conducted somewhere.” he said

Hon. Shariff Abdullahi further lamented that, “if yes, l am much doubtful they understand the 2022 electoral acts and INECs provisions.

The release revealed that, the differences is clear between PDP and that PDP is doing everything according to laws and regulations.

He said “why would i withdraw my candidature to someone who didn’t participate in party’ primary elections?, Base on this, i call on our party members in the state to reject this baseless and fabricated rumours.

He assured that party members in the state will continue to keep the trust they have given them regardless of the antics of those making mischief.

He thanked the party leaders and supporters for standing by them and reiterated his commitment to the party and it’s desire to capture the state come 2023.

“It’s higher time for us to distinguish between a fortune teller and a pumpkin as we are in the 21st century an era of progress in which a leader will display his skills not in the form of a tyrant or a power wizard politicians.”
