Chaos at Delta Police Duty Post: Two Policemen Engage in Brutal Scuffle

By Zagazola Makama

What started as a minor disagreement between two policemen on special duty at Fenod Company in Samagidi A Community, Delta State, turned into a full-blown physical brawl, leaving one officer severely injured.

Eyewitnesses described the shocking scene as a no-holds-barred fight between Inspector Kingsley Hassan and Inspector William John, both of the 18 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Owerri.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the two officers had a heated exchange over an undisclosed issue, but before anyone could intervene, fists were flying.

“At first, we thought they were just joking,” said a company staff member who witnessed the altercation. “But then, it got serious. One of them grabbed the other by the collar, and within seconds, they were wrestling like street fighters.”

The situation escalated dramatically when Inspector William John allegedly landed a brutal knee strike to Inspector Hassan’s groin, sending him crashing to the ground in agony. Onlookers were stunned as Hassan clutched his scrotum, writhing in pain, while John stood over him, breathing heavily.

Other officers at the scene quickly intervened, pulling John away before further damage could be done. Inspector Hassan was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Warri for urgent medical attention.

Meanwhile, Inspector John was arrested on the spot and taken into custody, as senior officers scrambled to contain the embarrassing situation.

A Police sources said that the Delta State Police Command has since launched an investigation to uncover the cause of the fight and determine the appropriate disciplinary action.
