Every politician wants to sample the soup made by the Hausa Community in Alaba Rago of Ojo in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, when they are “politicking.” This community is one of the political boiling pots. The opposition party, especially the PDP, is expecting to gain one of the largest hubs to ensure a fair vote count during the march from the southwest area to Aso Rock Villa. The goal is to win the support of the Alaba Rago Hausa Community in Ojo, Lagos State. However, fate speaks in favor of the APC on Wednesday when Senator Kashim Shettima, a former governor of Borno state and vice presidential candidate for the ruling party, speaks on behalf of both Hausa and Fulani residents of the Southwest.

The thumbs are ready to go with the APC for Tinubu/Shettima in the quest for triumph in 2023, standing taller on the podium with his name renting the air as a gesture of acceptance, the Alaba Rago gathering served as a sign of good things to come. The statistics are merely a representative sampling of what is happening every time the drumeat for Tinubu/Shettima project. The signs are audible on any political excursion. Taraba seems to be walking like a woman giving birth and would soon fall for APC, and Atiku Abubakar’s home state of Adamawa is getting sick with PDP’s dictatorial rule, Atiku might have won in past elections but can he unite Adamawa around him again? It is obvious; the Alaba Rago massage was audible and clear. The voices of dissent are becoming dimmer by the day.

The Tinubu/Shettima project has begun, and as the drumbeats cross political borders, the steps are getting closer. The olive branches are being taken by those who are politically aware. Many people are beginning to understand the truth on the ground, and this actually demonstrates why Kashim Shettima is the target of those who want to scuttle the movement for a dream Nigeria but on a renewed hope Nigerians are standing with the dreamers of hope.
