Army, Police Repel ISWAP Attack on Outpost in Borno

The troops of Operation Hadin Mai and men of the Nigeria Police Force in Borno have repelled an attempted attack by suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists on a police outpost in Ngarnam, Mafa Local Government Area (LGA).
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack, which occurred at about 11:40 p.m. on March 20, targeted the Ngarnam Police Outpost, where the assailants set ablaze a police patrol vehicle.
However, the assault was successfully repelled by troops supported by a Police Crack team.
No casualties were recorded on the side of security forces.
The security agencies assured residents that security agencies remain on high alert to prevent further attacks, urging the public to report any suspicious movements in their communities.
