Bandits abduct five passengers in Zamfara

Armed bandits have abducted five persons, including a 65-year-old cleric, during an attack along the Kwaren Ganuwa–Keta road in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Zagazola Makama gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday at about 9:15 a.m. when the bandits ambushed a Golf 3 vehicle conveying prominent residents of Keta town to Gusau.
The victims were identified as Imam Haruna Ibrahim, aged 65, and four others whose identities were yet to be disclosed. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Abdulkadir Danlami, managed to escape unhurt, leaving the vehicle behind at the scene.
Following the incident, security forces were mobilised to the area to track down the perpetrators and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted victims.
