Bandits kill one CPG member, two hunters in Zamfara village ambush

Armed bandits have killed a member of the Community Protection Guard (CPG) and two local hunters during a confrontation in Kungurki village, Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Zagazola Makama report that the incident occurred late on Sunday evening when the joint team of CPG personnel and local hunters mobilised to counter an alleged large movement of suspected bandits believed to be loyal to a notorious kingpin, Muhammad Bello, also known as Dansaudi.

The source said that the security volunteers had advanced into the village to repel the bandits when they came under heavy gunfire.

Three members of the joint team one CPG operative and two hunters were fatally shot in the ambush.
