The President of the Ninth Senate, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, Ph.D., GCON, Sardaunan Bade, Yobe North Senatorial District, has congratulated His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, Governor of Yobe State, for emerging as the Best Procurement-Compliant Governor of the Year 2024.
These were contained in a statement issued and signed by the President of the 9th Senate, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, Ph.D., GCON, and made available to newsmen in Damaturu.
“This prestigious award is a testament to your commitment to transparency, accountability, and adherence to due process in public procurement.” Senator Lawan said.
He further revealed that, under your able leadership, the Yobe State Bureau of Public Procurement has consistently implemented best practices in procurement management, ensuring that public funds are used effectively and efficiently.
The bureau has been recognized for its robust bid evaluation process, vendor management system, and contract administration procedures, all of which have contributed to improved service delivery and value for money.
“In addition, your support for the Bureau of Public Procurement has enabled it to effectively implement the Public Procurement Act and its implementing regulations. This has led to increased transparency and accountability in the procurement process, reduced corruption, and enhanced the overall credibility of the state government.
The award of Best Procurement-Compliant Governor of the Year is a well-deserved recognition of your Excellency’s visionary leadership and commitment to good governance.
