Borno govt releases #55.968.000 million for 153 medical students

The Borno State Government has approved the immediate release of over N55.9million for payment of registration fees for 153 medical related courses in a bid to recoup the health sector that has been worse hits by insurgents crisis.
The Executive Secretary of the Borno State Scholarship Board, Malam Bala Isa, made this known while announcing the development in Maiduguri on Friday.
He noted that the payment would cover the registration fees of 153 Borno state indegenes admitted to the federal university of health and science, Azare Bauchi state.
He said,”I am happy to announce to the good people of Borno state that Governor Babagana Zulum has approved immediate released of #55,968,000 for 153 Borno state indegenes admitted to study medical related courses to boast health sector of our dear state.
“The students are admitted to study the following courses; MBBS, Radiography, Audiology, Epicdemology and Stastistic, Physciotherapy, IT and health information, and among other,”
He said that the gesture was part of Governor Babagana Zulum administration’s commitment to the state’s 25-year development plan and the 10-year strategic transformation initiative.
“I urge all the beneficiaries to take the advantages of the opportunity for the overall of the development of health sector for the healthier society.” He disclosed.
He said Zulum is committed to sponsoring the students throughoof their studies.
Ali said the governor had urged the students to be hardworking and to face their studies seriously to justify the government’s effort toward sponsoring their education.
