Borno: Zulum sponsor 300 orphan of cjtf, 1878 nursing and midwives students

The Borno State Government has approved the immediate release of over N70 million for payment of scholarships to 300 orphans of civilian joint tasks force who lost their fathers fighting insurgency.
The Executive Secretary of the Borno State Scholarship Board, Malam Bala Isa, made this known while announcing the development in Maiduguri on Friday.
Isa disclosed that the Borno state government would give each of 300 orphans #200,000 which will cover their tuition fee from elementary to secondary throughout the duration of their programmes.
“I can tell you, Governor Babagana Zulum directed the immediate payments of scholarship to #73,140,000 of 300 orphans of cjtf who lost their parents to insurgents.
“Each of the cjtf orphans will receive a sum of #200, 000 for the scholarship.”he said.
He also purchased a total of 1,878 admissions forms for indegene to be studying nursing and midwives across 27 local government areas of the state.
According to him, the programme is aims to boast healthcare delivery at local levels as people returned to their ancestry homes many health issues are coming up so that we ensure adequate manpower.
He said the gesture was part of Governor Babagana Zulum administration’s commitment to the state’s 25-year development plan and the 10-year strategic transformation initiative.
Ali said the governor had urged the students to be hardworking and to face their studies seriously to justify the government’s effort toward sponsoring their education.
