Borno: Zulum Swears in Local government Transition Committee Chairmen for 27 Councils

Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has sworn in care taker chairmen for 27 local government areas.
The newly sworn in local government Transition Committee Chairmen are expected to man the affairs of their respective local government for the period of six consecutive months prior to the preparation and conduct of another local government polls.
Babagana Umara Zulum Who was represented by his deputy Umar Usman Kadafur has charged the new local government Transition Committee to discharged their constitutional function.
Zulum said his administration has set up a committee chaired by secretary to the state government has completed almost completed its forensic verification of staff of government and that of local education Authority.
He further stated that local government Transition Committee Chairmen should sensitize their subjects to massively collect their PVC.
Adding that local education authority and security matter, health and agriculture, youths empowerment will be given a huge consideration for the overall development of the state.
The 27 caretaker transition Committee were sworn in by the chief judge of Borno state honorable Justice Kashim Zanna in three deferent batches at the event which took place at the International Conference Center Musa Usman Secretariat in Maiduguri
Speaking on behalf of the his colleagues the Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council Ali Umara Bolori who has been among the few opportune to be reappointed immediately after the expiration of their two years constitutional term in office as elected chairmen.
Ali Umara Ali Bolori express immense appreciation for the government of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum and the team for finding them worthy to be reappointed for this position and pledge to discharge their constitutional mandate accordingly.
He thanked the Borno state executive council and members House of the of Assembly for their congressional support.
