Breaking: 4 killed As Suspected IPOB Gunmen Attacked US Convoy in Anambra

Two staff of the US government working in Nigeria and two police officers in a US Convoy were reportedly killed after gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) open fire on their convoy in Anambra state in South East Nigeria.

Sources said that after attacking the US Convoy and killed four people including two staff of the US, the gunmen burnt their bodies along with the vehicle.

” The attackers after they saw security operatives coming they fled living the vehicle burning and the occupants inside.” An informed source told NEWSng.

There are no confirmation yet as to whether the two staff of the US government killed in the incidents are US citizens or not.

However, the two officers killed alongside the US staff were said to be officers of the Nigerian Police Force attached to the convoy as escorts.

DSP Ikenga Tochukwu of the Anambra state Police Command confirmed the incident and described as sad.
