Buni commended for the Qur’an Recitation Competition in Yobe

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has been commended for our activities and programs for attending the Qur’an Recitation Competition, which raised our status in all local governments of the state.

The Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Arabic and Islamic Education Board, Malam Umar Abubakar, made the commendation in his vote of thanks at the closing ceremony of the 33rd edition of the Yobe State Qur’an Recitation Competition in Potiskum.

“Since I was appointed as an executive secretary by His Excellency the Executive Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON (Chiroman Gujba), we have executed a lot of work, including taking 30 students to Al-Azahar University, where they will study Arabic for one year and be sponsored by Governor Mai Mala Buni.’ Malam Umar said.

“We brought a secondary school in Al-Azahar called Al-Azahariya Yobe, which His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni gave his approval to. We are waiting for teachers, which Al-Azahar will send to us, and as of now, the secondary of science and technology is the secondary, and any student studying here will go to Al-Azahar from part 1 to part 4 for free education, all of which is done under my board.

He seizes the opportunity to appeal to His Excellency to assist the board with the permanent side office accommodation, the official car for the Executive Secretary, and two (18)-seater buses, one for males and one for females, that can be used for conveying Yobe State contingents to the National Qur’an Recitation Competition.

Malam Umar Abubakar revealed that Yobe State will host this year’s National Qur’an Recitation Competition, adding that, on behalf of the management of the board as well as the organizing committee, pray to Allah to record who in one way or another donated, supported, prayed, or participated in the success of the event with Jannatul Firdausi.
