Chairman Fune charges new councilors in Yobe

The Executive Chairman of Fune local government area in Yobe state, Hon. Baba Goni Mustapha Bade, has charged the newly appointed supervisory councilors to abide by the law and order of the nation, of our state, and of our community.

Baba Goni Bade disclosed this today at Damagum, the council headquarters, while swearing in the newly appointed councilors.

He thanks His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, and his cabinet, Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly, for the opportunity given to swear in our new supervisory councilors.

“Fune local government has new supervisory councillors today; now we are full camp; elected councillors are here; vice chairman, council secretary, supervisory councillors, and Chairman Fune are completed full.” Baba Goni said:.

“I am just remaining with you; you know, I know you know what you are doing, but I just want you to pray to Almighty Allah to guide you, to protect you, and to join hands with you to move our local government forward. One hand cannot wash very white; you must use left and right.”

The chairman charged the security agents in the area to remain loyal, and they should go ahead with their normal duties of protecting the lives and properties of our citizens.

The chairman also called on the people of the local government to stay in camp and continue to pray to Almighty Allah (SWT) to guide and protect both our city and our rural areas to get peace, adding that without peace, there is no progress.

Those swearing-in are Musa Yusuf Bala.
Vice Chairman and Supervisory Councillor for Admin and Health, and Abdu Yakubu Gira, Supervisor Councillor for Works.

Others are Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Kolere, Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture and Natural Resources; Hon. Goroma Lawan, Supervisory Councillor for Finance and Economic Planning; Yusuf Dan Wurwa, Supervisory Councillor for Education; and Hajiya Fatima Adam Kyari, Supervisory Councillor for Budget, Youth, and Women Empowerment.
