Chairman NAPPS speaks of achievement in two years

In a bid to achieve his goal, the Chairman of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Potiskum chapter, Malam Mohammed Sabo Adamu, enumerated his achievements within two years in office.

He said, within the two years, he was able to strengthen unity amongst all member schools by establishing a peaceful and collaborative environment among all member schools.

Malam Mohammed Sabo Adamu started this in an interview with Newsng in his office. He said he improved the relationship with the local government education authority and created a smooth working relationship that promotes policy implementation and school development.

Adamu, who is also the director and proprietor of Women Day Academy Potiskum, revealed that he strengthened ties with the Yobe State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and worked closely with the ministry on policy alignment and regulatory matters.

Under the period under review, collaboration with the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Leaning and Empowerment (AGILE) supported programs promoting girls’ education and inclusive learning opportunities, and partnership with the North East Youth Initiative for Development (NEYIFD) engaged in youth development and education enhancement programs.

According to Adamu, within his two years in office, he strategically collaborated with Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) to facilitate academic exchange and training opportunities and also engaged with the Association of Islamic Schools and Education Board (AISEB) to promote inclusive and quality Islamic education across member schools.

“We disbursed the 2.2 million grants equally to member schools, and the beneficiary schools are Kulafaurashidu, Habib Bintu Bazam, Kurasati Islamic Academy, and Darul Sa’ada Academy. Teacher Support Initiative, where we donated #30,000 to teachers from four schools who represented the association at the SEMA Spelling Bee Competition.

Malam Mohammed Sabo Adamu further said the additional achievements, etc., ongoing professional development programs, advocacy for quality education standards, and increased enrollment in private schools under the NAPPS Potiskum local government area.
