A consolation appointment was however given to Presidential contestant Dele Olugbemi who got 28 votes as he was admitted into the board of trustees of the alumni.

In his acceptance speech, the President elect of the alumni promised to unite members of the association further under his watch.

“Without unity, the association will not develop so I plan to ensure that my first meeting with my executive will be about uniting our members ” he hinted.

Abu assured that his executive will surely look into the biting issue of falling standards affecting the institution and ensure that the standards are taken to the next level befitting an institution of such stature.

Meanwhile the 50th anniversary proper will be celebrated today Saturday with a line up of dignitaries expected to grace the occasion like former minister Frank Nweke junior, minister of Education, Mamman Tahir and Borno state Governor Professor Babagana Zulum.
