Contractor Speaks on Potiskum Trailer Park says Governor Buni is vibrant in approach to projects in Yobe

The phase one project of Potiskum Trailer Park will be completed by June this year as the work has reached about 55 percent now, says the company handling the project.

Mr Stephen Adede, who works with A G Vision Construction Nigeria Limited, the company handling the project told journalists in Potiskum, Yobe state that with the completion of the administrative block, clinic, police station, plaza, mosque and restaurant, the remaining work will take place between now and June.

He said, the work remaining is just a road network and parking space for the long vehicles which is still at a tender stage. He said as soon as everything that is concerning structure is almost completed that will not take long.

 “When this one is done the remaining work to be done is going to be at least 15 to 20 percent, so before June this year everything will be rendered off and we thank God for the governor of Yobe state who has been very fateful to this project and dedicate.” Adede said.

According to him, for his six years and above working with the company, he has never seen a governor so committed to a project like Mai Mala Buni. “He has not in any way allowed this project to stop, not even for some weeks.

“Every time, there is need for money he has always paid off that is why you see that the job is so fast we started this project January last year, within a period of one year, you have seen how fast and how far we have gone all this thank to governor because there is no debt to pay.

“Potiskum Trailer Park phase one is like pilot phase, with this phase one the government will know what they actually wanted to do, if it is very successful they move to the next phase, which is based on the capacity that they intend to carry.”

He said, Governor Mai Mala Buni is a young vibrant governor. According to him, apart from Potiskum trailer park, there is another modern market at Gashu’a, Potiskum, Nguru and Damaturu and so many things that the governor has been doing since he assumed office.

“Governor Mai Mala Buni is trying to open Yobe state for business, commerce, and for all phases of economic growth. Very soon Yobe state will be the new hub for business in this part of the country.” He said
