Demise of Bugon Sad – Machina
By Bodunri Kayode
Yobe North senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bashir Machina has described the death of the Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Bukar Lawan as sad.
Machina recalled how the late Commissioner nicknamed “Bogun” was full of life at the launching of the sales of fertilisers in Damaturu on Monday.
To him, that has made the news of the demise of his friend “Bogun” very difficult to accept.
“We have lost a man of candour, whose wealth of wisdom was always at display when he weighed on any issue that concerns his people, particularly in the House of Representatives.
“I recognised his enormous contributions on the floor of the green chamber where he represented his people with so much passion before becoming a member of the Yobe State cabinet” said Machina.
The senatorial candidate urged the immediate family of the deceased, his associates and all those who mourn his exit to take heart saying, history would be kind to him.
“On behalf of my family, I commiserate with his immediate family, Governor Mai Mala Buni, Government and people of Yobe State, his associates and admirers of the deceased political colossus”.
“It is my prayer that Almighty Allah will forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul-Firdaus” Machina prayed.
The late Commissioner of sports has been a veteran politician for the better part of his life.
