Dr. Ben Egbo solicits members’ votes to clinch the NMA’s Sec. Gen. position.

As the election into various positions of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) at the national level draws nearer, Dr. Ben Egbo has solicited the support of the members to enable him to clinch the post of Secretary General (Sec Gen) of the association.

The doctor, who is also the former Yobe chapter chairman of the association, stated this in a statement of request made available to newsmen in Bauchi on Friday.

With the title “My dear hippocratic brothers and sisters,” the statement informed that his capacity as the present chairman of the former chairmen of the association in Yobe speaks volumes.

“With utmost humility, I, Dr. Ben Egbo, hereby present my request to become the next Secretary General of our great association,” he disclosed.

According to Dr. Ben Egbo, with more than 25 years of active participation in various capacities in the NMA, he is eminently experienced and competent to aspire for the post of Secretary General, which he said is much coveted.

“As the engine room of the association, the capability and dexterity of the SEC GEN to a large extent determine the success of any administration,” Dr. Egbo noted.

He further said, “I crave your indulgence to permit me to pilot the affairs of the NMA Secretariat for the next dispensation, 2024-2026.”.

“With a potpourri of the young and old giving birth to the “Bridge 2 mantra” and a highly successful private practice background, I bet you won’t have any cause for regret,” concluded Dr. Egbo Ben, who incidentally is also the project chairman of the Association of Nigerian private medical practitioners (ANPMP) Yobe State chapter.
