Education: Former Senate president donates an ambulance; others in Yobe

In his efforts to boost the development of education in his constituency and Yobe State in general, The President of the 9th Senate, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Ph.D., GCON (Sardaunan Bade), Yobe North Senatorial District, has donated an ambulance, a water tank truck, a utility bus, and a Peugeot 406 salon to the Federal Science and Technical College Gashu’a, Yobe State.

The donation was made through the Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan (SAIL) Foundation.

“I built the Federal Science and Technical College Gashu’a during my tenure as President of the Senate between 2019 and 2023,” he said.

He pointed out that, in August 2023, I handed over the Science and Technical College (FSTC) to the Yobe state ministry of education.

Delegations who represented the president of the 9th Senate, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Ph.D., GCON, to hand over the vehicles are the Deputy Speaker, Yobe State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Ya’u Usman Dachia, and the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Muhammad Garba Gagiyo.

Others include the chairman of the caretaker management committee for Bade local government area, Hon. Ibrahim Babagana Yurema, and a state house of assembly member representing Bade-East constituency, Hon. Sanda Kara Bade.
