The Nigerian Police Force, FCT Command has rescued a kidnapped victim, Sambo Umar Labibo, a Burkina Faso national, and arrested three suspects linked to his abduction.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the victim had been kidnapped on Friday, March 14, 2025, and the abductors had been demanding ransom for his release.

The sources said that a team of detectives, led by an ASP, traced the suspects to the Durumi IDP Camp, where negotiations were set up under the guise of delivering a ₦1 million ransom at Conoil Filling Station, Area 1.

The operation led to the arrest of three suspects: Ibrahim Umar, Hamza Buba, and Muktar Mohammed, all residents of the IDP camp.

Following their arrest, the suspects directed the police to the hideout where the victim was being held. Sambo Umar Labibo was successfully rescued, though he sustained facial injuries.
