Federal University Gashua Promotes 142 staff
By: Yahaya WakiliThe Vice Chancellor of Federal University Gashua Yobe state, Professor Maimuna Waziri has urged the newly promoted staff to dedicated themselves to the services of the University in order to justify their promotion.
This was contained in a Press Release issue and signed by the Head, Information and protocol unit, Mallam Adamu Saleh and made available to newsmen in Damaturu.
According to the statement, the governing council of Federal University Gashua at its 23rd regular meeting held on Thursday 29th September, 2022 considered cases of promotion of staff.
“The council approved the promotions of 89 academic staff to various ranks, 129 senior non-teaching staff to various ranks and 24 junior staff to various senior positions.” The statement said.
The release further said the council also approved the promotions of 3 senior academics to the rank of readers following the receipt of favourable external assessment report on them.

“Those promoted to the rank of readers are, Dr Mathias Ojo Sociology Department, Dr Yunus Jibrin Hassan, Department of Islamic studies and Dr Adekoyeni Oludare, Home Science and Management.
“The Vice Chancellor, Professor Maimuna Waziri, on behalf of council and management of the University congratulated the newly promoted staff on their well deserved promotion.” The statement added.
