FIRS: Buni receives award of Excellence

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has assured that his government would continue to live upto expectations.

Buni stated this, while receiving the award of Excellence presented to him by the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) at the Government House, Damaturu.

He charged the federal agency to work towards improving the synergy between the state government and the service.

Presenting the award of Excellence to the Governor earlier, the Coordinator in charge of Borno, Yobe and Bauchi states, Mohammed Abare Mayanda said the Yobe state government won the Best Performing Revenue Remittance Award.

He said, Yobe state government has won the best performing state revenue remittance award 2021 from the Federal Inland Revenue Services ( FIRS).

Mayanda explained that Yobe state under the leadership of Governor Buni has been an exceptionally performing state in Revenue Remittance.

According to the Coordinator, Yobe state is a role model for others in collation and Remittance of Revenue.

Mr Mayanda further said, the states were categorised, with Yobe state emerging the best in the zone B category
