Former MD, Specialist Hospital, Dr. Saidu Bala kidnapped

Gunmen stormed Aisha hospital along Yola/Numan highway and kidnapped its proprietor and immediate past Medical Director of specialist hospital Yola, Dr. Saidu Bala Monday evening.

NEWSng learnt that about three gun wielding assailants stormed the hospital located at Ngurore shortly after Magrib prayers and shot sporadically to scare away inhabitants and herded the medical practitioner away.

“Yes, about three gunmen stormed the hospital shortly after Maghrib prayer and shot into the air to scare people away.

” They went to Dr. Saidu Bala’s office and took him away. The operation was so swift and fast that it was conducted in less than five minutes,” an eye witness told our correspondent.

Confirming the development, the image maker of Adamawa State police command, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje said the incident took place at Aisha hospital located at Ngurore.

“Our men found three used bullet canisters at the scene of the crime and we have immediately deployed men of anti-kidnapping squad to rescue the abducted medical practitioner,” he said
