The former Senate President, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Ph.D., GCON, Sardaunan Bade, Yobe North Senatorial District, has urged the Muslim Ummah to let us harness the transformative power of Ramadan to purify our hearts and souls and to strengthen our connection with our creator.
These were contained in a release of the Ramadan message, which was shared with journalists in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital. “May this month of fasting cleanse our hearts and strengthen our faith in Almighty Allah (SWT).
As the sun sets each evening, we break our fast not only with food but also with a renewed sense of gratitude, forgiveness, and compassion. Let us extend these blessings to our neighbors, the less fortunate, and to all those who seek our support and understanding.
Together, let us strive to make this Ramadan a time of profound spiritual transformation. May we emerge from it as better Muslims, with increased faith, empathy, and a renewed commitment to serve our communities and our nation.
“Remember, Ramadan is not merely an annual observance but an opportunity for lasting change. May our prayers, fasts, and acts of charity guide us towards a path of righteousness and tranquility.
I wish all Muslim Ummah Ramadan Mubarak as we observe the Ramadan fast. May this blessed month bring blessings, peace, and an abundance of spiritual growth.
