Former President of the 9th Senate, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Ph.D., GCON, Sardaunan Bade, Yobe North Senatorial District, has urged all Nigerians to pray for peace and unity in our country.

The former president of the 9th Senate disclosed this in his statement, which he shared with newsmen in Damaturu, Yobe state capital, after attending Friday’s Juma’at prayers at the Aliyu Ibn Abi Talib Masjid Mosque in Maitama, Abuja.

“I had the privilege of attending Friday’s Juma’at prayers at the Aliyu Ibn Abi Talib Masjid Mosque in Maitama. It was a humbling experience for me to pray alongside fellow worshippers,” Lawan said.

According to him, “As we continue our fast in the holy month of Ramadan, I urge all Nigerians to pray for peace and unity in our country. Let us use this sacred month to seek forgiveness, show compassion, and work towards building a more harmonious and peaceful society for all.

I believe that through our prayers and actions, we can overcome the challenges that we face as a nation and achieve prosperity for all. May Almighty Allah (SWT) bless us with His mercy and guidance during this sacred time, and may He grant us the strength and wisdom to work towards a brighter future for Nigeria.

“Let us come together as one people, regardless of our differences, and strive toward a better tomorrow. May peace and blessings be upon us all. Ramadan mubarak.” he added.
