“Gov. Buni to Uplift Basic and Secondary Education”~ Commissioner

The Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has directed the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to come up with an action plan that will reposition basic and secondary education in the state.

The directive was contained in a statement issued by the commissioner of the ministry, Prof. Abba Idris Adam via his verified Facebook page.

The statement indicated that the Commissioner was given the directives as part of Mai Mala Buni’s drive for inclusive educational development in the state.

“In his determination to uplift basic and secondary education in Yobe state, His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, has directed me to come up with an action plan to reposition basic and secondary education in the state.
This is part of His Excellency’s drive for inclusive educational development in Yobe state.” The Commissioner stated.

Meanwhile, the action plan includes; boosting enrolment, developing educational infrastructure, teacher professional development policy, reducing dropout rates, integrating out of school children, among several other initiatives that will uplift the educational development in the state.
