Governor Buni Commended for donating 20,000 Exercise books to Fune LGA in Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has been commended for donations of 20,000 copies of exercise books to Fune local government council in order to improve the standard and quality of education in the area.

The Executive Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Baba Goni Mustapha Bade made the commendation in an interview with the Newsmen shortly after handing the exercise books to the Education Secretary, Malam Hashimu Inuwa.

He said the exercise books provided by the Yobe state government leasing with the local government will be distributed to 115 primary schools across the local government area.

The council boss urged the education secretary, headmasters and the entire staff of the education department to disburse the exercise books safely, fairly, just and equally among the 115 primary schools across the local government.

He said, Mai Mala Buni administration has taken education as top priority and called on parents to send their wards to school because the government has already provided all the instructional materials on ground.

“Governor Mai Mala Buni has sacrifice all his life to save the entire people of Yobe state, he has provided the dividend of democracy to the people of Yobe, noted that, only God will reward him and call on the people of the state to pray for him Almighty Allah to protect and guide him throughout his life.” Baba Goni Bade said.

Receiving the exercise books, the Education Secretary local Education Authority, Malam Hashimu Inuwa thanked governor Mai Mala Buni and the chairman,  Alhaji Babe Goni Bade for this gesture.

He revealed that we decided to call all the supervisors from each zone, because we have 10 zones across the local government. Each zone has one supervisor and hands over the materials to each supervisor for fair distribution.

“In order to improve the standard of education, Fune local government chairman, Alhaji Baba Goni Bade with the support of governor Mai Mala Buni has provided us this exercise books with a view to improve the standard and quality of education in the area.” Inuwa said.

He called on the parents to send their children to school, adding that now our government is supporting the education sector, so he did not see the reason why parents should not take their wards to school.
