Governor Buni donates N30m to Nigerian Legion

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, on behalf of the government has announced the donation of Thirty Million Naira (#30M) to the Nigerian legion Yobe state chapter.
Governor Buni made the donation while launched the Emblem Appeal Fund for the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration at the Banquet Hall Government House, Damaturu.
He said the donation of the funds to the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration is a part of his administration’s commitment to honouring the sacrifices of our fallen heroes.
The governor called on all the people of Yobe state, individuals, public servants, businesses and organizations to donate generously to the emblem appeal fund, in order to improve the welfare of ex-servicemen widows, and dependents of fallen heroes.
He commended the efforts of the security forces in maintaining peace in our state, particularly in the face of the challenges of Boko Haram insurgency in recent years.
Earlier in his address, the chairman Nigerian legion Yobe state chapter, Captain Ibrahim Gadene commended Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration for the tremendous assistance and support rendered to the Nigerian legion Yobe state chapter.
The highlight of the occasion is the launching of the Emblem Appeal Fund week year 2025 and decorations.
