Governor Zulum Sends Delegation to Maroua for the Send-Forth of Major General Mohamad Saly

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State sent a delegation to Maroua, Far North Region of Cameroon, to attend the send-forth ceremony of Major General Mohamad Saly, who has been appointed as the Chief of Army Staff of Cameroon.

The delegation was led by Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe, Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, and Chairman of the Borno State Sub-Committee on Repatriation.

At the ceremony held at the Maroua Grandstand, General Saly formally handed over to General Agaha Robinson Ndong, who assumed duty as the new Commander of the Fourth Military Region of Cameroon.

The event was chaired by Cameroon’s Honourable Minister of Defence, Beti Assomo, with the Governor of Far North Region, His Excellency Minjinyawa Bakari, in attendance.

Other members of the Borno State delegation included the Chairman of Gwoza Local Government Area, Hon. Abba Kawu Shehu Timta; the Chairman of Bama Local Government Area, Hon. Modu Gujja; STA MRR, Alkali Baba Kolo; Secretary of the Bama Reconstruction Committee, Kyarimi Babakura; among others.
