Guber 2023: How Buni, others votes in Yobe

The Governorship and State House of Assembly election was conducted peacefully in Yobe state, there was no report of any violence through out the state, but the turnout of the people is very low.

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has cast his vote at polling unit 004 Bulturam/ Yarimary ward of Buni Gari, Gujba local government area of the state.

Briefing the Journalists shortly
after casting his vote, Governor Mai Mala Buni thanks the people of Yobe state for coming out en-mass to exercise their civic rights and urged them to be always law abiding citizens.

The governor also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for coming out as early as 8.30 with elections materials and the commencement of the exercise on time.

Also speaking to Newsmen after casting his vote at Bukar Ali primary school polling unit, the Chairman Care-taker Management Committee of Damaturu local government, Alhaji Bukar Adamu said, he was impressed with the arrangements for the election unlike previous elections.

He said, as i go round the Damaturu all over the conduct of the election started as early as 8 o’clock which is very fantastic people are casting there vote in a good atmosphere and also the conduct has been very peaceful and everything is going on peacefully.

Alhaji Bukar Adamu who is also the Chairman ALGON, said is the acceptance of our wishes because we ask the people to come out and vote for our party, for our governor, for our members of the house of assembly and from all indication i am satisfied the people have answered our called Inshallah.

“We are law abiding and we were peace loving people in Damaturu and you have never hard of any problem igenating as a result of election in Damaturu, because we are always peace loving and peaceful people and we always urged our people to be law abiding.” The chairman said.
