Gunmen attacked a family in Zakirai Village, Gabasawa Local Government Area (LGA), Kano State, in the early hours of Saturday, abducting a 20-year-old man, amputating his brother’s finger, and robbing the household.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred at about 2:15 a.m. when three armed hoodlums wielding rifles and machetes stormed the residence of Alhaji Yusha’u Ma’aruf.

During the assault, the attackers amputated the left finger of his 23-year-old son, Abubakar Yusha’u, and abducted another son, Mohammed Bello Yusha’u, 20. The gunmen also stole mobile phones and an undisclosed sum of money before fleeing the scene.

Security operatives have launched a manhunt to rescue the abducted victim and arrest the perpetrators.
