Hon. Fatuhu returns to APC after meeting Shettima in Abuja

Hon. Fatuhu Muhammad, the representative for Katsina state’s Daura, Sandamu, and Mai’adua Federal Constituency, has changed his mind about leaving the All Progressive Congress, APC. This came after his meeting with Senator Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate for the APC, in Abuja.

Before the deadline for statewide campaigning in September, Kashim Shettima has been bringing back many dissatisfied party members and bringing in new recruits for the APC.

The most recent person to advance the unity cause is Honourable Fatuhu Muhammad, who had earlier declared his party defection.

“Hon. Fatuhu Muhammad, the representative for Katsina state’s Daura, Sandamu, and Mai’adua Federal Constituency, has changed his mind about leaving the All Progressive Congress, or APC. This came after his meeting with Senator Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate for the APC, in Abuja.” A source close to the member revealed.

He explained that Hon. Fatuhu Muhammad is a significant APC member and supporter of the Buhari administration in the state of Katsina.

He said after meeting with the vice presidential candidate, Hon. Fatuhu reaffirmed his commitment to working to further the party’s progressive objectives, particularly in the run-up to the general elections of 2023.

“Because of his strong friendship with President Muhammadu Buhari, word of Hon. Fatuhu’s defection from the party has been making the rounds ever since.

“News regarding Fatuhu Mohammed’s defection from the APC has been sensationalized to gloss over the local issues and intra-party conflicts that prompted his choice,” He said

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, as well as the representative for Zango/B in Katsina state, Hon. Nasiru Sani Zangon Daura, were present during the meeting with Sen. Kashim Shettima.
