How Nigerian Troops vanquished rampaging ISWAP terrorists, rescue abducted passengers, recover golf car, tricycle in Yobe

Nigerian Army troops of Sector 2, Operation Hadin Kai, have vanquished 4 ISWAP terrorists and rescued some abducted passengers in Buni Yadi, Yobe state.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region that the terrorists were neutralized in Lamisuri village, Gujba LGA.

The sources said report was received at about 10am on Friday February 16, 2024 that terrorists riding on a tricycle and motorcycles had hijacked some commuters and abducted some passengers near Yobe state college of Agriculture along the road to Buni Yadi.
A Military patrol team was immediately dispatched to go after the terrorists in the given direction of their escape route to rescue the victims.
The team first caught up with one of the hijacked vehicles, a green volkswagen golf car with registration number BBU 353 HD with two female passengers and some children which was abandoned during a hot pursuit by the military patrol team.
The patrol team took the victims and the abandoned vehicle to safety before continuing their mission of trailing the remaining terrorists for possible rescue of the remaining vehicles and passengers.
The hot chase by the troops yielded positive results when they caught up with the terrorists near Lamisuri village in Gujba LGA where firefight ensued.
During the encounter, the team killed four members of the terrorists and recovered one tricycle with some stolen food items while some of the terrorists were believed to have escaped from the scene with degrees of gunshot wounds.

The remaining two hijacked vehicles were however not found at the scene of the encounter but tracks of moving vehicles were observed heading towards Meleri community near Goniri village.
The team followed up again on the track until they arrived at Meleri village where they were reliably informed that they sighted two other vehicles, a golf and a Honda car believed to have escaped with their passengers from the scene of the troops earlier encounter with the terrorists at Lamisuri village.
It was further gathered that one of the vehicles headed towards Buni Yadi while the other went towards Damaturu going through Katarko village.
The military sources said it was intensifying efforts to track the fleeing terrorists and rescue the rest of their victims.

Troops Repel Bandit Attack, Rescue Lower Sharia Court Judge in Katsina State

Troops have successfully repelled a bandit attack in Mahuta Village, Dandume Local Government Area (LGA), Katsina State, and rescued a prominent local judge, Mr. Rabiu Tukur, following the abduction of six residents on April 8, 2025.
Zagazola Makama informed by security sources that three attack occurred around 11:55 p.m. when armed bandits stormed the village, kidnapping six individuals, including Mr. Tukur, a 49-year-old judge with the Lower Sharia Court, Dandume.
The troops engaged the bandits in a fierce confrontation, successfully rescuing Mr. Tukur without any harm.
Efforts to locate and rescue the remaining five victims are ongoing, with security forces intensifying search and rescue operations in the surrounding areas.

A clash between a Customs patrol team and commuters resulted in a serious accident at Koza Village, Maiadua Local Government Area (LGA), on April 8, 2025, at around 8:35 p.m.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the Customs team was in pursuit of a commuter vehicle when the incident occurred.
In the aftermath, an angry mob set fire to the Customs camp in retaliation for the accident. The situation escalated, but the Division Police Officer (DPO) quickly mobilized police personnel to the scene to restore order.
As of now, the situation has been brought under control, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the details surrounding the incident.

Bandit Attack Foiled in Musawa LGA Kastina As Nine Kidnapped Victims Rescued

In a daring rescue operation, the security forces successfully foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued nine victims from armed bandits on April 9, 2025, at approximately 1:25 a.m.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspected armed bandits, riding motorcycles, stormed Farin Dutse in Dangani, Musawa Local Government Area, and abducted several individuals.
However, the timely response from the Division Police Officer (DPO), who mobilized a Joint APC Patrol to the scene, led to a fierce gun battle with the bandits.
In the aftermath of the engagement, six females and three males were rescued and swiftly transported to the General Hospital Musawa for medical attention.
The victims are reported to be in stable condition.
