KACRAN urges government to revoke plot allocations on cattle routes in Potiskum

The National President of Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), Hon. Khalil Mohammed Bello has urged Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state to revoke the cattle route allocated as a plots by Potiskum local government land allocation committee at Gadama village for the interest of peace and stability in the said local government council.
The president made the call when he led officials of the association to visit the site at Gadama village in Potiskum local government area of the state.
He said Kulen Allah has rejected in totality the move by the secretary of Potiskum local government land allocation committee which he said are not mindful of the urgly consequences of the act that led to the cutting off a cattle route and allocating it to people as plots.
Hon. Khalil Mohammed Bello expressed concern that such attitude may trigger misunderstanding between herders and communities around, adding that, blocking the route may bring confusion among the people of the area.
The National President has call on Governor Mai Mala Buni for immediate intervene for the sake of peace and for sustainability of cordial relationship.
He commended the Chairman Care-taker Management Committee of Potiskum local government, Alhaji Salisu Muktari who is doing everything humanly possible in maintaining peace and unity amongst his subjects.
The National President also command His Royal Highness, the Emir of Fika, Chairman Yobe State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa CFR, CON for his total support towards reversing any act that may lead to the breakdown of peace and mutual coexistence in the area under reference.
