Former Borno state governor and Senator representing Borno Central at the National Assembly, Kashim Shettima has a unique and magnetic memory of history. That uniqueness makes him the most enviable personality when it comes to political debate about history and happenings of yesterday with almost the accuracy of mathematical correctness.’

This was the conclusion of many who listened to him while defending Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the interview with Channels over the grandstanding on Tinubu’s sermon to the people and delegates in Ogun state.

Political analysts have also agreed with Mr. Shettima on the issues that moved the Borno strongman into defending the man he called his ‘Principal’. Yet again- talking about the man- Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the lines of discussion over his comments in Ogun state when he met the party’s delegates ahead of Monday’s All Progressive Congress, APC primaries where the best from among is to be announced for the race to clinch President Muhammadu Buhari’s seat.’

To put history straight, Kashim Shettima during an interview with Channels TV told Nigerians what transpired back by figures to unwind the story as history had packaged it for today. He said, as a team which is focused on reaching the promise land, it is common in history that when one stops at every point to stone a barking dog, there is the tendency of such not to reach the goal as such the Tinubu trains keeps moving wavering the storms of misrepresentations as credited to his outing in Ogun state.

One thing nobody can take away from the facts as history puts on the role Bola Ahmed Tinubu played during the 2015 general elections that brought President Muhammadu Buhari is what the Borno strongman uncoiled. It is a fact, and unlike the demonstration being put by those opposing Tinubu’s candidature, Senator Kashim Shettima’s lecture from the studio has put facts and figures before conscience and judges of this swaggering display in the buildup for Monday.

On Monday, the APC will indeed go into the chambers that will either make or marr their history. They are trying to leave a record and history will speak of it tomorrow of how they won or lost it. Gladiators in the game know who the best candidate for the party is, and according to Kashim Shettima…For a Knowledge driven economy, there can be no other than the man he left everything to sell as material at a critical time to Nigerians as the best offer for tomorrow.

Indeed, when it comes to choosing a tool that works in difficult situations, Kashim Shettima stands tall with evidence at hand and lessons to go with. In his sermon at the studio, Kashim Shettima elaborated on the subject of whether the question for a younger personality is the best for the country at this time or not and his argument remains on knowledge base.

He explained in a more convincing manner and indeed the selling point. His well spelt point of argument. Age is a function of the mind and indeed there are young people who perform low in their role and especially in leadership positions despite their seeming age advantage while still older people have proven time and again that experience is a better teacher. Nigeria with over 200 million people needs a personality with the experience, exposure and an elusive mind to add value in the move towards nation’s building and in the coming days they need to know who that personality is.

Kashim Shettima however keeps to his earlier call. He explained that we are in a critical time with diverse challenges as a nation. We therefore need a leader that understands the dynamics of the modern economy. His sellable material, most especially with the agitations around the country, the leader Nigeria needs no is one who understands Nigerian sociology. According to Kashim Shettima, that leader is no other person but Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We shall understand his points in the days ahead or we will miss it.
