KSF celebrates special kids this year’s children’s day

The Kwamkur Samuel Foundation for Justice Peace Development-KSF have celebrated this year’s children’s day tagged”KSF Children’s Day Party” with kids who have special needs. 

The event was to celebrate particularly children with special needs and to also provide advocacy for the rights of children, Right of persons living with disabilities and to also show love,  encourage and appreciate parents and teachers for taking care of the children.

The 2023 Children’s day celebration which had the theme; More money for Primary Education sort to draw the attention of Government and policy makers at all levels to the need to give more attention to primary education which by government policy is supposed to be free.

The President of the Foundation Kwamkur Vondip while addressing gathering on the theme and the need to provide support for children with special needs emphasized that the authority should be more practical in providing funds for the smooth running of Primary Education.

He encouraged teachers and parents especially those handling children with special needs to be mindful that children are gifts from God who are wonderfully and beautifully made and are a source of happiness. 

He noted that Nigeria will move forward and be free of terrorism and other criminalities if families, teachers and government give the needed attention to the training and growth of children. 

The proprietor of the foundation called on residents to accord the children their rights and privileges as enshrined in the UN charter, Nigeria constitution and the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities Act 2018.

The Program Manager of KSF, Tongzum Barde briefed the gathering on the aims, objectives and achievements of KSF so far. 

Side attractions include cutting of children’s day cake, games, fashion parade, dancing competition and face painting.
