Kuchikau Neighborhood Accuses NSCDC of Terrorizing Community

The recent demolishing of a building situated and being at Bernard Obande Neighbourhood Kuchikau phase (1) Masaka district belonging to Mrs. Blessing Ejjike has raised doubt and suspicious of the involvement of Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officers in this matter.   

It was gathered that one Alhaji Yakubu Rimi Gambo allegedly connived with some officers of NSCDC of Nasarawa State Command led by an officer named Nnjokwu Prince T.  who came with armed men and a bulldozer to carry out a demolishing exercise on a property belonging to Mrs. Blessing.

Phase 1 being a peaceful quiet neighborhood and well secured, had her officials and elders of the Neighborhood Security Watch who approached the NSCDC officials to intervene and also demanded to see the court order authorizing the demolishing of the said structure but were greeted with stiff resistance from the men of the NSCDC.  

This situation later resulted in violence where some members of the neighborhood were injured.

Investigations by NEWSng reveals that Nnjokwu Prince T. ordered his men to physically assault and tear- gas the members of the community who came to intervene in the matter.

“This has resulted in a stampede causing injuries to some members of the community who came out to support their own.   

 “We in this neighborhood community have been highly terrorized this morning by armed squad led by 3- star NSCDC officer whose name tag reads Nnjokwu Prince T. without showing any official authority…. or offering the needed explanation to our neighborhood Chairman had his phone ceased along with those of many others.”  A Community Leader in the neighbourhood told NEWSng   

Further findings by NEWSng indicated that such is common  and associated with the off.cers and men of the NSCDC Nasarawa Command in settling disputes as such. 

According to the Community,  Alhaji Yakubu Rimi Gambo is said to have been using this public security/ civil organization for his dirty deals as such called on the Command to do the needful and put a stop to such act by the officers and men it degenerated to crises in the area
