Maiduguri Monday Market: Shettima donates N100m to victims

APC Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima has commiserated with the government and people of Borno state over the incident of fire disaster that occurred in the early hours of Sunday. 

Senator Shettima urged the people to take solace in God believing that nothing happened without his knowing and pray that such occurance did not happen again in the future.

The APC Vice Presidential Candidate announced the donation of one hundred million naira to the victims as short term effect to cushion the immediate needs of the traders who lost property in the incident.

He said he has spoken with his principal, the APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who also send words of comfort to the people and government of the state.

“My Principal has promised to come here in person to comiserate with the victims as well as made his personal donation.” Shettima said

The APC Vice Presidential Candidate commended the Borno state governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum for ensuring an immediate succor to the people and identifying with them.

“This week His Excellency, the governor is going to lead us to see Mr. President over this unfortunate incident and we hope that the President will ensure adequate assistance is given to the victims.” Shettima said.
